We are pleased to announce that the “Forests for Climate” program has been honored with the prestigious award of the Polish Chamber of Ecology for its innovative and comprehensive approach to climate protection!
The program encompasses key initiatives such as “Energy Forests,” “Carbon Forests” and “Improving Energy Efficiency in PGL LP Buildings.“ This recognition highlights that the State Forests, as one of the largest organizations in Poland, can effectively support efforts to protect the climate. The program contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing CO₂ absorption, and developing renewable energy sources, making a significant contribution to the country’s energy transformation.
The award was accepted during a ceremonial gala in Katowice by Karolina Paulewicz-Bazała, Director of the Environmental Projects Coordination Center. The event, held under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Climate and Environment, the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, and the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship, emphasized the importance of collaboration for sustainable development and environmental protection.
