The State Forests are increasingly harnessing solar energy, actively participating in the green energy transition. A carport-style parking shelter has been put into operation at the Gniewkowo Forest District headquarters. The photovoltaic panels forming the roof of the shelter produce electricity and provide shade for parking spaces.
The 32kW installation supplies electricity for the current needs of the Forest District office.
This investment is a result of the Gniewkowo Forest District’s participation in the “Forest of Energy” project, through which the State Forests are developing their own renewable energy sources.
